Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Fundamentals (DEI)
This module provides the DEI fundamentals needed to create an environment of equity and inclusion. Learners will understand how stereotypes and generalizations are created in their brains without them even being aware of them and how they influence our daily interactions. Learners will learn how DEI impacts the working environment, the engagement of employees as well as the profitability of organizations.
DEI Terminology: Establishing a Common Language
This module defines terminology that establishes a common language with which to discuss Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Having a common language helps us to communicate better with one another leading to a more inclusive environment for all.
Understanding and Mitigating Unconscious Bias
This module focuses on unconscious bias and how it forms in the brain. Learners will learn how biases impact the working environment and come away with practical tips to mitigate biases in the working environment.
Race & Ethnicity: Building a Common Understanding
Today’s working environments are rapidly changing. 83% of millennials are actively engaged when company cultures are inclusive but only 60% are engaged when they are not. After completing this module, learners will have a common language with which to discuss race and ethnicity in the U.S. Learners will develop an understanding of the historical formation of race & ethnicity in the U.S. and how it continues to manifest in the working environment.
Understanding & Mitigating Gender Bias
Women are more than 50% of our national workforce, yet their knowledge and skills are underutilized and undervalued in many organizations. Numerous studies conducted in the U.S. and globally offer concrete evidence that having women in leadership roles substantially improves a company’s performance and ability to innovate. In this module, learners will look at how gender bias manifests in the working environment and how it impacts the bottom line of organizations in every industry.
