Session Overview:
The concept of privilege has become a flashpoint. What does it mean to have privilege? What are the different types of privilege? Why has it become so controversial? Join Sangeeta and Mariah for a round table discussion about different types of privilege, including racial privilege. Let’s clear up the misinformation and stigma around the concept of privilege.
Registration for the Event will Close at 9 am EST the morning before each session.
There is no charge to join the discussion, however sessions are limited to the first 100 registrations. You will receive an email no later than 48 hours before the event with a link to the session. Discussions, presentations, breakout sessions and Q & A will be 1.5 hours.
About the Presenters:
Crystal Morris, MS, CTRT-E, is the founder and CEO of One Caring Adult Inc in Port St Lucie, Florida. She uses her resilience-focused approach to helping organizations understand and mitigate the debilitating impacts of trauma by cultivating equitable and inclusive environments.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice and Sociology, Mrs. Morris began her professional career with the Florida Dependency Court System. There she saw firsthand the link between adverse childhood experiences, psychological and physiological health. Since then, Mrs. Morris has completed her Masters in Science in Counseling through Capella University and has served as an Educator in Miami Dade and St Lucie counties, Mental Health Counselor, and a Non-Profit Director in Florida’s Treasure Coast. She holds certifications as a Professional Diversity Coach, Emotional Intelligence Practitioner, and is pursuing her Associate Certified Coach credential with the International Coaching Federation.
A proud Jamaican American, Mrs. Morris celebrates everything that represents her cultural roots and is rooted in family. She incorporates anecdotes of her daughter Elle and sons Daniel and Caleb in every presentation.
